I think I am using a beta version. My version is 1.31.3 (612). I have constant issues with photo orientation for photos taken in the portrait mode. This seem to have started some time in August, probably when I made an update. However, I do not have auto updates enabled so timing does not pinpoint the version. Android 11, Motorola camera app, happens with both Google Gallery and Aves libre.
v1.35.0+614 Appears to fix the issue for me. Not yet available on Google Play as a beta yet.

Unfortunately, I still encountered an issue with incorrect rotation in a portrait ohoto, I will send the photo if I find the way.

Yes. I checked and I do not have HEIF enabled. It changed for me also after I updated to the new version and it’s very annoying.
Please be specific and use version numbers. “New version” can mean a few different things.
I received your photo. When I imported it in a previous beta version, 1.31.3 (612), it did not get rotated upon import, although it did get rotated in the latest public release (1.35.0 (614)). Unfortunately with the latest beta version, 1.31.3 (614), it does get rotated upon import. I reported this to our developer.
I just tested a fix in this latest alpha version: https://github.com/inaturalist/iNaturalistAndroid/releases/tag/v1.35.1%2B615 It worked well for the photo @vladimir_fuka sent me.
I’ve recently started encountering bugs in the Android iNaturalist app (both the normal and beta versions). I’ve even reduced my activity because it’s frustrating to use the app.
When I upload observations, photos taken in portrait mode appear in landscape (example in the attached images), and it crashes constantly when I’m viewing other users’ observations.
What is going on?
My phone is the Samsung S21 Ultra

-Mention the android app version
-I saw some bugfixes in the newest versions…you should try one of them.
