Shall I add coarser ID after disagreement?

Maybe this is a FAQ but I didn’t find it there. Consider the following situation: Observer ID’s own spider-like specimen as harvestman. Somebody else sees it, disagrees and says Leucauge (which is in orbweavers+allies), which correctly puts the obs into Arachnida. I see it, but I lack the qualification for Leucauge, all I could say is Araneomorphae (i.e. non-tarantula spiders).

Should I enter this or will it harm the Leucauge ID more than it helps destroying the Opiliones one?

The obs is https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/3010345

If your coarser ID is not entered as a disagreement, it will not count against the more specific ID if it is a parent taxon of that ID.

If you click What’s This at the Community Taxon, you can see what effect your ID has. Does it have the expected effect on CID ?

It still is Arachnida and the “What’s this” explains why: 2×spider isn’t enough to overrule 1×harvestman, so it sticks with the parent taxon until a third person comes and says it’s a spider.

But this was not why I asked. I was just afraid of harming somebody else’s genus level ID with my infraorder one, but that didn’t happen.
