Should descendants of captive plants be considered wild?

[This is a hypothetical scenario; I’m not actually planting hickories and hoping for advice here.]

If I plant a hickory tree, and after a few decades nuts start falling to the ground, can I iNat those nuts and have them be considered wild? How about if the nut sprouts in the forest? How about then? And what if a squirrel stashes that nut underground, then forgets about it? What are your thoughts on this?

If it’s not under human care I think it’s considered wild.

See https://help.inaturalist.org/en/support/solutions/articles/151000169932-what-does-captive-cultivated-mean- This is an example listed there.

No, they aren’t wild yet until they sprout. I see Tony is typing, so that should clarify the rest.

Yes, they are wild. It’s literally listed in the examples of wild on the help page.
