I was just glancing at the Site Stats page and noticed that the graph showing number of users dropped by more than 400,000 (~17%) between January 22 & January 23 of this year. Didn’t find this mentioned on the forum after a quick search. Why the sudden drop? Was this the result of a correction to figures that were off, cleanup of inactive accounts, something else?

I believe they started excluding spam accounts in their totals at or near that date.
