Is this site for the northern hemisphere of the southern hemisphere?
I am interested in knowing if the seasonal graphs are for Southern or Northern hemisphere?
Please advise.

This site is for both the northern and southern hemispheres. If you’re referring to the seasonality charts on each specie’s page, those count the number of user observations from each month so they are not hemisphere specific.
they are for the whole globe unless you have a place filter applied.

i don’t think the system has hemispheres defined as places, and they’re too big to be added by community members these days, but if you wanted data specific for north and south hemispheres, you could create your own graphs based on data from the API.

since the southern hemisphere has fewer observations in this case, it’s hard to see on the same scale as the northern hemisphere, but you could view it independently:

I don’t want to strive too far from the original questions, but it’s kind of a bummer that the place filter feature on the taxon page does not apply to the taxonomy-tab, i.e. it still shows the global counts for the subtaxa not the filtered counts.
I get it though, since it is probably computationally expensive to do that every single time.
hmmm… i’m not sure how expensive it is. they seem to have the foundation for that sort of thing, although it might need to be changed to allow limiting the lowest rank.

I’m working on a little annotation project and filtering by location will make that data much more interesting!

For your chosen taxon, click an appropriate location.
Then the phenology will apply to THAT hemisphere.
