Description of problem No overlay or link for GBIF. I checked another species and it was fine, and looking at GBIF, they do have the RG observations for this species.
I wonder if it perhaps related to the fact there are two alternative spellings in GBIF … https://www.gbif.org/species/11064068 https://www.gbif.org/species/5040668
I’m not sure if iNat/GBIF links are from cached primary keys or dynamic string-matching of names. If the latter and there is allowance for termination variants, then there won’t be a unique text match.
I don’t know, but I don’t think so. M desponsa is an out-of-date name, and I didn’t see any iNat observations listed there (some museums that need to catch up though).
However, under M desponsus they’ve got 692 RG iNat observations, but iNat has 915 RG observations.
