# Tool I made using pyinaturalist API

Hello there,

I just wanted to share tool I made in Python using pyinaturalist API ([https://pyinaturalist.readthedocs.io/en/stable/index.html](https://pyinaturalist.readthedocs.io/en/stable/index.html)).

It’s purpose is to save all observation counts within some place using taxon\_id and place\_id, so it can be used to make checklists, make comparisons with literature data etc…  
Here are screenshots of data from raw, to normalized to cleaned:

One thing I noticed is that this is way faster way to download data from the new places. It takes some time for observations to show up on new place page, but this way makes it faster.
