U-Haul trucks . . . What's your favourite use of nature in advertising?

I saw this truck today:


It’s a U-Haul truck, which is a truck rental company in North America. Since 1988, they have used these informative nature graphics on the side of their trucks. I’ve never crashed the car, or walked into a utility pole, but I’ve had a lot of close calls, because I was mesmerized by Uhaul trucks.

In 2025, the most commonly uploaded observations on iNat, in order, were:

  • #1 Plants (40% of observations)
  • #2 Insects (almost 28% of observations)
  • #3 Birds (13% of observations)

Hard to say but this one got my attention for all the wrong reasons:

I’m SO glad you posted this!. For years, I’ve noticed UHaul trucks and been surprised and kind of thrilled at the images and the very good writing. I’m a retired National Park Service/Bureau of Land Management interpretive ranger, and UHaul gets my vote for best and most unusual placement for nature advertising.
