I contribute to Penrith City Council’s seed collection efforts. I collected some Brachychiton acerifolius seeds from Parramatta to improve the genetic diversity of the nursery’s collection. While processing the seeds at the Penrith council nursery, I found that they were full of small weevils.
Should I upload the observation of the weevils with the Penrith council nursery as the location, or with the seed collection site in Parramatta as the location?

I think if you are 100% sure the insects originated from the seed collection site, it’s fine to upload the location as there. If it isn’t sure that the insects are from there, I would upload at the nursery where you first noticed them and add a note to the observation saying that they may have been collected with seeds at the other location.

Personally, I think it’s better to upload them where you found them, but if you are 100% sure of their collection location you could put them there.
