Unexpectedly cute observations - what are yours?

We have a very cute little grey wall jumping spider that hangs out on our front door and seems to live behind the electronic door lock. It has the cutest wee white fluffy looking pedipalps. I’m going to have to pull out a macro lens and attempt to get some proper close-ups rather than bad mobile phone shots.

I already had a soft spot for Poecilometis ever since I got a “first photo on iNat” for a subspecies. Those eggs are very cool. How can people not like bugs?!

People know that bugs were around before them AND Tyson’s chicken, and that there are way more insects put together than the amount of humans on Earth. That even though they are so much smaller and creepier, insects still rule the world. That’s my motto: Insectum Terram Regit.

I’ve come to the conclusion that any photo of an insect looks cute if it is a good close-up and has either a human-like expression or pose, or it’s hairy.

That’s an interesting thought! So is this cute??

Looks soft… didn’t get a good look at its face, so kinda cute, says the one that DID pick up an Io caterpillar, once.

first bat of this species observed in Sicily
I don’t know whether to be happy or scared about this, but this “Plecotus Austriacus” seems to be the only sighting in Sicily, and for me the news is cute and unexpected, when I installed inaturalist and seek, I was in a hurry to find out the names of everything I saw and now I’m sorry I didn’t take a second photo of the face.
