I have a general question, and it is touched on a bit on This Forum Post.
What I’m wondering is if there is a way to check low observation (less than 50 or so) species or no observation species in a specific area. I have a few obs that have reached research grade with less than 30 observations in total but reading up on the available resources states that the species is more common.
I’ve been trying to see if there was a way other than just clicking through the taxonomy and reading pages and looking at manuals along the way.
Is this the kind of thing you’re looking for? It’s a list of taxa in New Mexico (place_id=9), sorted by those with the fewest observations in New Mexico first (order=asc). It also shows how many total observations there are for that taxon on iNat, so if it’s observed only once in New Mexico, but 1000 times in total, you can see that.
