This is a Indian Blue Mormon, observation here. It flies very rapidly, and even though I have been seeing it for the last 6 years, I could finally get its photograph last October.
Dictyodendrilla cavernosa (https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/261700462) from the Poor Knights Islands in NZ.
That’s a Blue Pansy, observation here, a very ground-loving butterfly. It has a strikingly blue hindwing, with a contrasting orange spot (really, pansies are all about spots that look like eyes).
Wow! It is the first observation for this species!
There is this Chalky Percher, observation here, that has a little bit of blue.
Awesome! Probably one of my favorite butterfly.
One of my favourites too, but it being a member of Swallowtails, is rather difficult to photograph though.
Here’s my little contribution: this is my 3rd iNaturalist observation, and I didn’t know yet that I was going to be hooked by the application!
