When I click on a photo in the identify tab the screen turns white and I can't do anything else!

Description of problem:

Step 1: I click on any obs in the identify window as normal

Step 2: Most of the screen turns white and I need to refresh the page to see obs again. This also happens regardless of web browser.

Step 3: Notably I can open an obs in a new tab and interact with it as normal.

I have had the same issue for the past few days, on both Firefox and Edge

I’m also not able to make identifications, either from Safari, Firefox, or Chrome on Mac.

Same here, but only when testing the API V2

I’m not able to replicate on either Brave or FF.

• have you tried turning off all extensions to see if that helps?
• can you please turn on your browser’s console and when this happens again, share a screenshot that includes the console? It will hopefully have logged errors we can investigate.

this was reported with more information in a separate thread: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/api-v2-feedback/21215/109. the request being made by the screen just isn’t including all the necessary fields probably.

It is apparently an issue with testing api v2! I turned it off and it fixed the issue!

I was also having this issue. Turning off api v2 solves it.
