I notice that some observations made within the geographic boundary are not picked up by the project. Any suggestions? I thought it was automatic and it seems to be with many other observations.
This user has joined Biodiversity of Alabama, but has not joined Biodiversity of Baldwin County. Because they haven’t joined Biodiversity of Baldwin County, the badge doesn’t show up on the observation page.
The accuracy circle that you’ve set for your observation is quite large (191 m), and it exceeds the boundaries of your place (and thus does not get included); if you reduce this accuracy circle, it will show in your project.
I read some of the other threads on the topic, and made the border for the place a bit wider than it needs to be to include more observations with large location circles, but I know that many of my observations have smaller location circles, so I don’t think that’s the problem.
I think I’ve somehow messed up with creating the location, but I’m not sure how…
The project is meant to show any observations within the border of the place, but none of them are showing up.
if you have observations to be synced in your Android app, you should see a Sync option (a green bar) on the My Observations page in the app. make sure you have an internet connection, and click on Sync. also see https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/getting+started#android (step 7).
There is another reason why observation is not included in a project. It is likely that it is because the circle of coordinates of the observation exceeds the limit of the project. Try editing the observation and making the circle of coordinates around the observations smaller.

Yes, I’ve seen this a lot with places that are small in area or narrow, where the accuracy circle is likely to be as large, or larger than the span of the place.
A good example is The High Line in Manhattan, New York City. I created a Place and Project for this park in support of an iNaturalist workshop I did for them last year. There was neither in iNaturalist before that.
