So, have you ever seen a “big firefly” on a Black-eyed Susan before? Well, then that “big firefly” is actually a moth! (See title.) You can tell them apart because these moths are, well, HUGE, and they aren’t as “nervous” (also they don’t light up and are active during the day). They also have “tongues” (called a proboscis for insects) and don’t crawl everywhere (photo – iNaturalist.org/observations/387562235 ).
