You know you're seriously into iNat when

when you are about to overpass the 20000 observations…. o.O

These are amazing. Dreaming about iNat is certainly weekly thing for me.

Yeah, that’s more like when you are seriously into iNat, the other one was like your supervisor is more seriously into iNat!

You become the world’s top observer of trochosa sepulchralis by a decent margin without even realizing

One of my favourite things about my workplace is the amount of wildlife I see. I’ve learned about so many new spiders just from taking pics of the ones that fall on my head there haha

…you have a dream that you’re photographing all kinds of cool birds you’ve never seen before and then are sad when you wake up and find out you can’t post any on iNat.

This happens to me with insects  :sob:

And that’s me every time I get home from a trip to Redfield, with my parents annoyed because I am disgusting (But at least don’t smell like fish like my brothers), and me completely satisfied because a hummingbird tried to land on me

…you’ve crouched for so long taking a photo that someone offered you help getting up. This has happened to me. :joy:

…you don’t kill spiders — you relocate them to better lighting

I woke up at 4am this morning needing a drink of water. After a quick sip I found I had a hair in my mouth but it felt a bit thick for a hair. I turned the light on to find a 7 legged spider doing back-stroke in my water and the 8th leg held in my fingers. My first thought was that the lighting was terrible for macro photos. The spider was fine once it dried out.
