Your best photos of the week!

I titled this, “Hey! When is dinner served around here???”

This juvenile Red Fox decided my neighbor’s decrepit old picnic table was a good spot in which to rest.

I have been doing a lot of observations ever since my wildflower patch came into bloom so I have a lot. But I think it’s a toss-up between these two:

Yikes, that’s a lot of submissions. I gotta break this up…

Congrats @susanne-kasimir - You won this week (month, possibly?)’s poll!

How ‘bout you? It’s a tie! :wink:

Oh, cool! - I even forgot about it :rofl: Thank you!

I hope I’m not rushing too much when I already post my submission for this week :cowboy_hat_face:
This great green bush cricket (Tettigonia Veridissima) really showed me that my RX10 is pretty good at capturing the smaller critters (if you can call these guys small). Of course I had some luck with the black glossy ground and those water droplets.

The shot inspired me to get more into the whole macro-stuff, so I just ordered a Marumi Achromat (+3) to screw in front of the lens. Hopefully I’ll have some proper macro shots to submit soon!

Really nice photo! Looking forward to more of your submissions. :)

A Ferruginous Glider:

Those red blobs are parasites. Water mites, to be precise.

Got an amazing lady posing for me on some purple cone flower this past weekend at a local nature preserve. She was an awesome subject.

Mantises? Yeah!

Incredible shot! :clap::clap::clap:

Lampropeltis Pyromelana, Santa Cruz county AZ last week

best find of the year

This Oakleaf is very common where I live, but this is the first time I got it with the wings open! Other then it being difficult to photograph with the wings open, its also endemic to the Western Ghats! Observation at https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/303168923.

@whistlingduck poll time?

From my mantis photographs, I guess this one is the best.

The thing hanging behind there is its newly shed skin…

2nd week of frog eyes!
