You might be tired of hearing this, but @macrotim, you won again!

Guys, it’s Monday and we don’t have a single submission. I’ll start:

I visited a friend in Almería on the weekend who took me to a lot of special places (and he knew everything! - check out @faluke ). On the morning of my leaving he said: let’s stop here, this is the habitat of Danaus chrysippus…. and a minute later: and there it flies!

Amazing photo! May get some photos to add, but at the moment, haven’t really gotten much focus stacks recently (still doing microscopy on my local springtails). Though if we get a decent snowfall here in a few months, like we did last year, I may use my telephoto lens after months of it collecting dust, lol.

Northern Saw-whet Owl (NSWO) was banded by a permitted bird bander, I got to release this one.

EDIT: @whistlingduck Am I allowed to use this one since I took it last Saturday? I didn’t think about that until I posted it.

Believe it or not, I made this one with a 22 year old camera  my first camera ever!

Nice! My camera is not nearly so old, just a little over 15 years (bought from someone who had it sitting in a closet for awhile).

Mine is around twelve years old, and has mostly been doing okay until now…the On/Off switch fell off in LEAVES :sob:

I had my first lucky shot with my macro lens today!
This darter was munching on a fly. Overwhelmed by the artistic value of the scene, I completely forgot to take some shots that are helpful for IDing, so I hope someone can accurately distinguish it to a species level haha.. I certainly am not educated enough on arthropoda to do that.
Anyway, I’m really happy with how the photos turned out

Yeah I don’t really care what week it was from as long as you don’t use it twice lol

Ah, that is so frustrating! My camera is pretty much fine expect for the dozens of permanent spots stuck on the sensor, which tends to show up in dark backgrounds. Here’s a very cropped image showing the spots (probably a bad example, but, oh well). Original image, not too bad, right?

And the cropped version, from the top left corner.

Go get your camera cleaned! Your camera store should do it if you don’t have the equipment.

I’ve tried cleaning it myself, but haven’t been able to do it. Well, I need replace my camera eventually anyways. :)
