Your best photos of the week!

Wow, the first one is absolute perfection.

Well it’s been a while, but I managed to find a lady beetle in my room, which I tested my first focus stack on! Unfortunately, my flash died, so I couldn’t take more than 4 photos. I’ll have to try again with more focus next time.

It’s unfortunately difficult to find many insects in the wintertime, and I’ve been quite busy with schoolwork, so I guess I’ll have to wait until the spring melt to reveal some critters.

I got a nice shot of what I believe to be Evarcha arcuata. If someone has more experience with jumping spiders, I’d appreciate an ID! Don’t worry, there’s another photo in the Upload, that should help with IDing :)

Definitely this shot of a red-tailed hawk nibbling on a squirrel, since it was what got me on iNat in the first place :) https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/340035964

Welcome to the Forum! That is a really cool photo! Did the red tailed hawk catch it himself?

Thank you! I didn’t see the kill but I’m almost certain he caught it himself, seemed to be a very fresh kill

I finally got some photos of one of the titmice in my backyard! Songbirds are pretty under represented in my photography (unfortunately)

Here are some of my recent observations. My favorite of this group is the red fox. Is actually my most recent lifer. The Aurora Borealis is added for scenery of a natural phenomenon.

I’d love to see a bird of prey catching something, I’ve only every seen them looking for food, never actually catching it!

Wow!

It’s amazing! The lion looks (was it?) kinda upset, cats look cool when angry  and the colors of the photos are great!

Hmmm… I was wondering… how are we gonna keep up with the posts in the thread?

It’s been so long since the last weekly poll!
