Yes. It’s the same code as PureRaw, which is why I ended up just getting PLab instead of another PureRaw update.
The advanced RAW noise reduction breathes a lot of life and power to even the tiny sensor of my superzoom Nikon P-950. I’ve heard it’s said that it’s like adding 2 fullstops to a lens.
The tricky part (at least on my lower sensitivity tiny sensor) is trusting that power and not paying too much attention to the noisy/muddy previews you see on the camera playback screen while shooting. But that’s RAW processing for you.
But it also means I can use the 950, with a relatively short top f8 aperture, with a little Raynox popped on top to get decent macro detail. Like this one.
