Your best photos of the week!

Got this fox on a trail camera, usually they don’t come out in the middle of the day in this area, probably a mother looking for food for her pups… the day is already getting hot in this early spring heatwave, and her looks made me keep the picture!

Dandeliions

Night photo of this great frailejon

This really cool species of oyster mushrooms (I have no idea which) that after being photographed looked perfect for one of those Windows desktop wallpapers.

There’s a spider on the left mushroom too, which was a nice element. I haven’t processed this image yet, so it does look a bit noisy.

this dusky labyrinth that gave me crippling sadness for 10 minutes when I accidentally deleted my sole photo of it (it came back tho, after I’d withered into a sad husk)

A oriental Turtle Dove being buzzed by flies:

and two verditer flycatchers!

I have thought if you will edit the photo maybe it would look good if the background get completely black? In plain is my idea, dont take it seriously, maybe you can have a better idea

That’s a great idea! I’ll try it out! Thanks :D

This lovely fly perched right next to a raindrop in my backyard! So glad it stayed long enough for me to figure my new camera out!

What a cutie, great shots

I love this photo, super neat perspective to get

Saw this delightful dinosaur a couple days ago. I love snapping turtles, it’s always fascinating to me to wonder what’s going through their prehistoric-lookin’ heads.

Nothing special here, but I came across these just pushing their way out of the soil. It’s growing directly next to sagebrush in a sagebrush steppe. These are a couple of cell phone pics until I download the ones from my camera. Aphyllon fasciculatum, Clustered Broomrape.

I’m pretty proud of this one. I absolutely love finding northern widows out here.

Wow, great shot! I love how the sun reflects off its shiny body

Hey, little buddy, I know how it goes. That’s exactly how I look and feel when somebody wakes me up at 4 AM to search for and photograph insects as the sun comes up! :face_with_bags_under_eyes:

I’m not into botany, nor do I know much about plants, but those are some of the coolest flowers(?) I’ve ever seen!

Wooah, cool!

Thanks!! When I’m hunting for insects, reptiles, or spiders to photograph, I keep an eye out for anything that I think would make for a good composition. In this case, I almost didn’t notice them. They are only about 3/4" to an inch out of the ground.

Not the sun, but camera flash & LEDs. (Most of my photo subjects avoid light like the plague.)
