Witnessed a wild encounter today — a mallard catching and eating a western tiger salamander! Brütal

Agreed!! You never know how it will turn out!!
Amazing shot!
Great shot, wow
This is Wilford. Wilford the Wolf Spider. We hung out for a bit earlier this afternoon. He was modeling and posing for me for about 20 to 30 minutes. He was a good boy, being very calm during the photo session. This was our favorite pic!!
I’ve shared a few behind the scenes photos. Wilford was being a goofball during the photo shoot. At one point he wanted me to put the camera down and play Peek-a-Boo with him! No Wilford! Work now, play later. You know the rules. Be good and I’ll take you out for a weevil when we’re done.
At one point during the modeling session, he gave me the “far off pensive look” pose. I have to admit, it was sort of cute. Nicely done Wilford.
I saw this super cute Peck’s Skipper!
Desert purple martin bringing a dragonfly to the chick in the saguaro nesting cavity.
Was satisfied by these stretch spider photos (unfortunately not sure what kind they are!)
