I didn’t include that because the reason the world feels suffocating to some is not because of the limited amount of wildlife monitoring that goes on. It’s because of the monitoring of humans, and the increasing inability to just be left alone to do your own thing. That’s not a wildlife issue.

I’ve been toying with this idea for a while… Run a drone over an area and use AI to accurately map every single visible plant in the canopy. Should be doable. Of course it will miss all the herbs and shrubs under the canopy, but would still be quite nice. Should also work for grasslands/shrublands…
