I’m for a flag similar to the copyright infringement one that can be used for wholly-generated AI images. It would hide the image and would not appear in the unresolved flags list by default.
The more thorny issue is when actual photos are using some sort of generative AI and where the line is drawn. And more and more photos are going to be using that kind of software, and without the photographer’s control in many smartphone situations. As I’ve said elsewhere, I think a DQA that allows people to vote on the accuracy of the evidence is probably the best solution there.
