Is it mandatory to be a city? There are many smaller towns/regional cities that have a lot of green space and limited density while still having essential services, shops and entertainment.
You have far greater options depending on what you need locally (i.e. probably a city if job access is a necessity in city-based industries).
Also, what climate do you want? Some places will have 12 month outdoor weather, others you might not be going outside much for half of the year…
