This would all lead back to bioethics, and really a huge amount of ethics in general. My dad sent me this thing about the thylacine’s closest relative and how they can bring it back through that (maybe) But honestly, to me it has the same issues as the idea of bringing back the dead, which has the similar issues of:
- They might not ‘belong’ in this world/enviroment anymore
- They might ruin a lot more things than they fix
- It might just be better to ‘let dead things lie’
