Change Mapping of Obscured Observations to Improve Data Visibility and Reduce Confusion

Obscuring location is absolutely important and valid, and the ‘fake location’ system made sense when iNat was small and there weren’t that many of them. But right now it’s untenable

i don’t understand this. i’ll assume you know the difference between the data and the visual presentation of the data. so then why even make this point? is this whole thread just some sort of backdoor way of saying that you don’t want data to be obscured at all?
