iNaturalist addicts are going to be taking photos of everything everywhere but that’s not the case for everyone. Plenty of folks are going to think they don’t need a camera if they’re ‘just’ going to use the bathroom and get back on the bus.
I was actually thinking of setting up a project of animals found in public bathrooms. I am sure that I have more, but I can only remember those two: (and two is not yet a collection - it has to be at least three)

At first glance Houston, Texas appears to be a sprawling metropolis devoid of wildlife, but the city’s bayous are apparently teeming with River Otters.
They do, however, go mostly unseen due to their nocturnal and semiaquatic habits, so idk if they’re applicable for the article.
Emus are common in many cities/towns in northern WA- mostly the outback areas such as Denham and Exmouth. Not massive cities but still an interesting animal in urban areas.
