Disallow others to edit your observation fields (opt in)

I think I was confused when I wrote this, in that I thought it was about users being able to edit the Fields themselves, including ones others had created. Editing the Field values in an observation is a different issue, and as I said in a later comment, sometimes I encourage and hope for that, and in other cases it would be disaster, but is unlilely to happen, as the Field is not of wide interest, and its values could only be known to the observer.

Added an issue here which I think describes the desired change. https://github.com/inaturalist/inaturalist/issues/2812

Is this working as intended? thomaseverest reports he can add fields, but not edit or delete them. It seems to me that if you have permissions for adding, you should also have permissions for editing/deleting. Or alternatively, if you don’t have permission to edit/delete, you shouldn’t have permission to add.

Can you add/edit obs fields on my observations? If not then I think the feature request is working as intended. For those who do allow adding of obs fields but cannot now edit or delete, that’d be a different/new bug.

https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/59184044 for testing. I can edit my own obs fields still (but wasn’t able to edit from a test account when I closed the request).
