Supposedly American Robins —also a Turdus — use both sight and hearing when foraging on a lawn for earthworms and other prey. I haven’t found the source study for that finding.

However - I will make the comment that the European Blackbird is a species of true thrush. It is also called the Eurasian blackbird.
If editing your title didn’t work, I expect you could still edit your first comment. Also, I’m not sure there might not be a time delay between entering the change and it showing up in this dialogue.
