Get ready for a whole bunch of changes to taxon photos

There’s a dropdown menu below the place where you can type in the observation number, and it gives the choice of RG observations, all observations, and photos from a few other sources (Flickr, Wikipedia etc - going from memory). So if there are no or very few RG observations, it’s easy to choose ‘Observations’ instead, which will give you all of them. Of course, if there are too many and you want a specific one, typing in the observations number is definitely the easiest way to go.

I don’t have problem with that if someone is competent. But I’m very glad RG is the default, because it at least has a lower error rate.

Yes, but I don’t know what happens to something from Flickr when it gets replaced by something from iNat. :0

I’m not sure what you mean by this. Using it as a taxon image basically just links to it, so you remove that link - but it won’t change the Flickr image in any way. On iNat, you’ll see whatever image you’ve chosen instead. In neither case are you changing the source, just linking to it.

Ah, that’s true. I just was worried the link from iNat to Flickr could persist somewhere, and be a wrong ID in the mass of photos, not just the taxon photos.
