I just noticed my home project is up to 750 taxa. 621 of those are at species level. I have an additional three Polystepha gall species that are undescribed and have no scientific name so are stuck at genus level.

I would greatly appreciate anyone who would take a look at my obs that are IDed between Life and Tribe and try to get them to a lower level taxa even if you don’t know the species. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?captive=any&lrank=tribe&place_id=any&project_id=79239&verifiable=any

Had a look… not too many spiders in your collection… I guess you could get some more taxa there, if you aim for it :slightly_smiling_face:

Just because it’s a nice number, and I didn’t miss the opportunity to make a screenshot :slightly_smiling_face:

New observational milestones: 5,000 total observations at my house (representing ~1,440 species) and 8,000 verifiable observations in New Mexico of which 1/8th are bees! Been taking a lot of photos recently :slightly_smiling_face:

There are some 2,500 species observed on inat in my home county, and I have found only 827 of them upto now (i.e. about a third).

There is still a lot to discover near home, perhaps I will reach 1,000 species here soon.

I just made my 2,000th observation, and it was also my first time seeing a leafminer in action!

Found my 1000th plant (tracheophyte) species in my hometown today.
Not counting the cultivated ones, of course.
Only 16 of those are non-angiosperms, so the threshold for flowering plants should also be broken soon.

The icing on the cake - exactly 50 moss species :sunglasses:

…and 200 of my 8-legged friends

Apparently I am now a regular forum user. Although I don’t feel like it yet, I feel too new. I just visit almost every day and read every new topic, usually within 24 hours of its start. And I like to give out many likes for encouraging, positive and insightful posts.

I got my 1500th species (though those numbers may fluctuate as IDs get refined) and along the way made 50,000 IDs. And missed the chance to get a screenshot before uploading observation 8501, which was yet another new species for me. Ah well, I’m not going to go back and delete it again just for a screenshot with nice round numbers.
