yes, it can be evidence of the organism on iNat
Note that a photo of artificial plant is identified as âHomo sapiensâ because it is proof of the existence of a human organism who brought there (observation location) the artificial plant.
I took Evidence of human to mean - this plastic plant was made by humans.
The DQA says - Evidence of Organism.
It doesnât say either The organism, or An organism - so iNat is not clear whether or not organism refers to the ID or the evidence. And iNatters are using either or both, depending on how we interpret it.
We need 2 DQAs for 2 situations
- no evidence of Life, any Life. Obs is not suitable for iNat. Push to Casual (ie junk)
- no evidence for the identified taxon. Stays in Needs ID. Keep trying.
Maybe they have been conditioned to do so by all the rhetoric about cats.
Maybe they have been conditioned to do so by having a cat that is known to kill birds. Or having a neighborâs cat kill birds in their yard.
