Actually, I don’t know. Could you explain?
WARNING: COGNITOHAZARD.
You don’t want to know.
I think this would be amazing at a dinner party and if you are ever in YUC please let me arrange one.
Is it worse than the worst duck thing I could think of (ducks regularly killing and eating their own young)? If not, I would like to know.

Thank you @Thunderhead !
I’ve heard the same thing about chickens.
I have seen a movie in which the “screech” of an eastern-screech owl is actually the begging calls of great horned owl chicks.
-
Car rides…
Ugh look at all that invasive (insert invasive plant species here) -
Butterfly bush
-
Chinese silver grass
-
Cats (they’re an invasive species and shouldn’t be outside)
-
Honeybees (we need to save our native bees not install more honeybee boxes)
-
Bee hotels (leave the leaves, leave plant stems up in the fall and winter)
Oops! I am wrong about the chickens I read this about ducks in a mixed poultry book. Sorry!
What have you ruined for your friends? A beautiful mural!
I just this weekend almost interjected about ducks with a group of new acquaintances, but thought better of it.
Not going to lie, I do like talking about ducks…
And just about anything else nature wise…
I like ducks to I have 45
This is a good point. If we want to get people interested in nature, it may be best not to “ruin” it too soon. Let them get well and truly hooked on the beautiful aspects of it before bringing up the gruesome side.
1- Several movies, including Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and Star Wars
2- The inside of a kangaroo pouch (it is not fluffy and fur covered)
3- Squirrels. They are omnivores, and I’ve seen one eat a baby bird
I told my family about these movies to.
Kookaburras will eat small animals, eggs, and whole snakes. The do not, in fact, live exclusively off insects and the fact that they steal sausages from barbeques should have made that obvious. They’re carnivores. That seems to disturb a whole lot of people.
Sheep. I’ve instilled a number of people with a newfound terror of sheep.
Sheep. Can. And. Might. Kill. You! I cannot believe how many people are under the impression that they can’t hurt you. Just because they’re fluffy and herbivorous doesn’t mean they haven’t killed people. This is fine until there’s a person in close quarters with a ram, paying no attention to what he’s doing. Unfortunately, I often struggle to convince people, but the ones who do believe me typically meet this statement with abject horror.
Goats are even worse.
Side note - I live in a country with a lot of feral sheep, so this is relevant to wildlife. I briefly forgot that Australia’s not normal haha
Now I’m scared of sheep.
I have actually seen my late ewe move very fast giving chase after a slowworm moved away from us in the tall grass. I have seen her very much enjoying the fact that my cats would get out of her way when she decided she wanted to walk precisely where they were dozing. I have seen her turning around towards the dogs and stomping her front foot to make them stop in their track.
Sheep are anything but stupid. She KNEW she was supposed to leave the dogs’ and cats’ dry food alone, yet she would pretend she was not interested at all until I moved out of sight – upon which she moved in like a ***** to inhale the kibble.
I really miss her.
I am sorry to hear about your sheep.
