It’s a pretty biased portrayal of the two species. I’m not a particular fan of social vespids and I get that they are annoying to humans, but the attribution of political views to insects feels rather inappropriate.
Regarding the only actual biological info on that list: wasps (like many other insects that visit flowers) do function as pollinators – however, they are not necessarily as effective as bees because they aren’t visiting flowers specifically with the purpose of collecting and transporting pollen and they tend to have less hair that pollen can stick to.
I’ll add that wild bees may be more efficient pollinators than honeybees, and that the role of (introduced) domestic honeybees in ecosystems where they may be competing with (often threatened) wild bees is decidedly ambiguous.
I think that’s the point. It’s funny because it’s an absurd expansion upon the original meme. To kind of show that the original meme was mean spirited.
I’m not familiar with the original meme and perhaps my sense of humor is lacking, but I don’t see what is particularly funny about perpetuating misapprehensions about insects that the average person is likely to accept without thinking critically about it (i.e. the idea that: yellowjackets = bad; honeybees = good).
For the past 60 years, the superbowl has been the final game of the season in American Gridiron (Americans call this sport “football”)
The superbowl typically happens in late January to early February, but if you are exposed to sports news, then you will see references to this event throughout the year. For example, Jake Paul claimed that his recent fight with Mike Tyson had “more viewers than the superbowl” (meaning, more than 120 million viewers).
I’m slightly concerned… okay more than concerned to walk in certain areas 'cause those darn cobra chickens will hiss, and attack anyone who goes near them! Lately, my local air monsters have decided to start walking - and hissing - on a couple of the walking paths, which is a large nope!
