But wouldn’t it say something like, that’s not just a maple, it’s Acer saccharum?
Exactly! And I thought I was pretty good at identifying local birds.
It didn’t have to be perfect. I thought it was an interesting meme.
You got one part of that wrong. ai-generated comic never amused me ![]()
It fits very well because many koreans hate moths because they think moths are “dull and creepy” xD
here are dozens of cool looking moths that are already kind of popular on iNat to share with them:
Echeta grandis White-barred Tiger
Chrysocale ignita Ignita wasp moth
Baorisa hieroglyphica Picasso Moth
Polytela gloriosae Indian Lily Moth
Euchromia polymena Painted Handmaiden Moth
Dryocampa rubicunda Rosy Maple Moth
Actias isis Sulawesi Moon Moth
Mazuca strigicincta Pikachu Moth
Eucyclodes gavissima Oriental Orange Banded Green Geometer Moth
Diphthera festiva Hieroglyphic Moth
Chrysocale principalis Princely Tiger Moth
well if u want to scare them too:
Macrocilix maia fly poop mimicry as some termed
and long saga of this Tineidae caterpillar
Thank you, they’re beautiful and wonderous
Moths and butterflies are the same insect order.
See Harry the Moth- TheOdd1sOut. (Might be a bit sad tho)
I think moths are cool!! They are so much easier to find than butterflies, and there are so many colorful varieties!! I’ve found a couple emerald green, some striped, some red, some with clear wings…they are amazing! And praying mantises aren’t the only insects that are liked…I like them all! Even cockroaches, which is a pretty hot topic whenever I bring this tidbit of information up ![]()
Poor Harry…kids may think they are doing well, but sometimes, it’s best to just look but don’t touch, or in their case, take Harry carefully outside to a safe place in their yard. When I was little, I liked to catch insects to get better looks at them, now, I mostly just take photos, and the insects are safe and I get to remember them better, and in a less depressing way.
Give yourself a pat on the back if you noticed “sloth beer”
“Dark-Horned Muscinae” just give a house fly devil horns and call it a meme
Me, an intellectual after reading all the replies to this one post: Actually, your all wrong. That’s a plant!
Joking pls don’t murder me botanists
I noticed it, but only because you mentioned it!
Here in Australia it’s called “Where’s Wally”. When I first found out Americans (and maybe other countries??) called it “Where’s Waldo”, I was like “what kinda name is WALDO???” ![]()
Yes, because it being Australian explains everything! :D
I will now forever refer to sloth bears as “sloth beers”. Thanks!
Also I need to read this full book, simply just for the bloopers. Lol.
That was my brothers absolute favorite book when he was younger. He had so many of those books, and he always did it in the car on roadtrips ![]()
It’s an Oxford 2016 8th grade geography book….
