I’ll resist opening up the ‘butterflies are actually moths’ discussion, but like you – when I see the visual and form diversity that moths have come up with I’m drawn to them like… well, you know the rest.
Not on iNat, but while visiting an insect group on FB a few days back I came across this Asian species that I had not heard of and had another one of those, ‘holy smokes’ reaction. I found a rather nice shot of one on iNat from member eypc from Hong Kong which I’ll share here:
