What do you think the biggest human related threats to biodiversity are?

I’m not sure if it’s worth replying or not, but no one is denying that light and noise pollution is a problem. It is, but it sort of falls under the ‘habitat destruction’ heading. Human beings are interfering with all kinds of systems that have impacts on non-human life. As @charlie said, you are not being ‘censored’ for that reason, but for an inappropriate response to comments.

It is small - but the threat is big. All that surface to pick up toxins.

I read that. It’s depressing.

Well, the concept of ecosexual is new to me and not at all the love I was thinking of, but if it results in things like a North American favoring “ugly,” “destructive” double-crested cormorants over “beautiful,” “regal” mute swans, I am all for it!

Astroturf is an abomination in its blandness as well as its lifelessness, though many seem to be aiming for that perversity with their anti-biodiverse chemical lawns. Where I am, a mulching mower and a high cut without chemicals or watering gets what I consider a nice-looking green lawn with a fair amount of biodiversity and flowers, though not much for native plants. Native asters, goldenrods(both from the abundance of seeds from encouraged volunteers at the perimeters), grasshoppers, crickets, leafhoppers, bees, cottontails, robins and others make me feel like my lawn is at least somewhat part of the ecosystem. I know a Californian true nature lover who instead of laying astroturf or wasting water on living AstroTurf®+, has, in place of a lawn, instead planted a native garden adapted to the dry climate. Harmony with nature is a beautiful thing!

you are right. Not worth replying.

Could you even try to be polite or it’s that hard?

For what it’s worth, I thought that the initial response to your post was a bit over the top. But I suspect I’m just pissing into the wind.

This topic is getting heated. We are going to think about how best to proceed.
