I think if you hover over the annotation, you can see who voted. You could DM them and ask them. More communication is always good!
You could also write a comment under the observation, explaining why you annotated the way you did, and if disputes are frequently occurring, you could write a journal post explaining your approach to annotations, and link back to that journal post in your comments.
