Here’s a super blurry Black Phoebe photo from my phone. I knew what species it was since I was there, but I was surprised someone could verify the ID based on this photo.
Maybe this one, but it was still possible to identify. Smartphone camera with automatic settings and motion ruin a lot of images.

Ooh, I forgot this screenshot from a video of a Lesser Nighthawk, which was a lifer outside of our hotel in Tuscon, Arizona. I had a video of it flying around, and I think I had Merlin going too (though I didn’t save the audio). I don’t think I expected it to be identified by anyone.
i have a lot of terrible ones (curse you, iphone 11 camera), but my worst is probably this buzzard that i fell over while chasing + trying to get a good photo.
And you get bonus points for having the photos sideways ![]()
