One point about spam accounts, while they don’t clutter if they’re not visible, as long as they’re searchable by search engines, they will accomplish one of their main goals: to increase the number of links pointing to their site and drive up their SEO.
As long as this is happening, the rate of creation of spam accounts won’t get much better.
