Worrisome trend of Dudleya farinosa poaching in California

I’ve started to obscure a lot more after hearing about some rare plants (orchids) poached likely after a friend put up an observation of them among others (with the other observations unobscured). I also obscure areas of sensitive habitat. Conservation is worth it. The location is still logged and any researcher that really needs the information can be vetted.

I am wondering why all cactus are not obscured automatically.

Because not all cactus are a poaching risk. Some are even invasive species in some places.
