Hello, I am Diego Amaya, a Colombian botanist, (Universidad de Los Andes), my main research items are:

• Parasitic plants (all of them: taxonomy, diversity, hosts, conservation, and ecology)

• Plant diversity of tropical alpine ecosystems (Paramos), an environment similar to that of high latitudes, in this case, it occurs in high mountain tropical areas (Andes).

• Pollination systems (specificity and ecology, more focused on Hymenoptera.
  I have experience in the field with Latin American plant id’s, I have worked several years in the Andes herbarium, I am a Curator at iNaturalist, and I have participated as an assistant in research projects such as the adaptation of plants to extreme environments with Nat geo explorers on the Orinoco River.
