I’m just a Montana born and raised boy with a passion for nature. I’m a self-proclaimed Mycologist local to my own hometown and close by surrounding areas. I mainly focus on identifying and observing fungi+myxos around North America, but I do have some knowledge for birds, plants, and the like.

I started my mushroom hunting journey just by renting field guides from the library (some I still use are: Mushrooms Demystified by Aurora, David and Simon and Schuster’s Guide to Mushrooms revised by Lincoff, Gary). I’d read them whenever I’d get bored and eventually gained quite a knowledge for identifying Fungi.

I have been an active Inaturalist member for quite some time now. I enjoy adding observations and helping identify fungi.

I have been studying lichen species lately, and have been trying to identify them when ever I get a chance.
