I am a computer science graduate whose childhood interest in zoology (particularly entomology) as a career was blunted by dissection exercises in first year biology. The advent of modern electronic photographic equipment rekindled my interest in nature photography, and a desire to label my photos correctly led me to acquire field guides for various animal groups as and when they became available. My particular interest is in Australian Odonata (dragonflies), information on which was exasperatingly difficult to find until the last twenty years or so.
