Dutch birder (born December 1989; age 33) with twenty-five years of field experience, currently living in the Netherlands. I have lived in Mexico City for six years, where I was regional reviewer on eBird for three years, and guided some birding day trips and short tours in Central Mexico. As a side project, I am illustrating birds of Mexico with graphite pencils, coloured pencils, watercolour and gouache. Besides birds, I am also interested in other organisms, mainly moths, butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, flies, bugs, beetles, bees and mammals.

Over the years, I have traveled to more than forty countries, but I have only begun taking photographic documentation seriously from October 2020 onwards. I will gradually upload my sightings from the past years to iNaturalist.
