I’ve got a background in forest ecology, and spent a couple of years researching fire-vegetation interactions before spending decades teaching elementary school and learning about everything under the sun with kids who also wanted to learn about everything under the sun.
My main interest is in flowering plants of my region I live in southern Vermont), but in using iNaturalist I’ve found myself also drawn to learning more about various insects. I am in utter awe of those of you you know the quieter, less charismatic species of moths.
