I am a long time naturalist and citizen scientist, I am Chair of the 10 year old Atlas of Life (Coastal Wilderness Biodiversity monitoring project on the Far South Coast of NSW Australia. I am also working on citizen science globally and co-chair a couple of global CoPs on the UNESCO Open Science Recommendation and Maximising cs for the SDGs. I am also helping to establish the Global Citizen Science Partnership, which should be incorporated by April 2021.
My own interests are largely coastal marine, birds and all marine macro inverts. I am especially drawn to the small stuff along our temperate coastline and am recording stuff to see if we notice changes as this is apparently a marine climate change hotspot. We run annual Sea Slug Censuses in the estuaries, rock pools and coast which are great fun and fascinating. We have extended the known range of several species by hundreds of kilometers as so little research has been done on these species.
My favourite species group Cephalopods.
