I’ve started this about a zillion times, but I keep deleting it because I don’t like the way it turns out. I figure I’ll start with just the basic bio info, and expand it at some point in the future.
I live in south-central Wyoming in the US. It’s the 10th largest state by land mass, and the least populated state in the country. That means a lot of open air and a lot of outdoor activities. It also means about six months of winter, and the rest of the seasons are crammed into the remaining six months.
My day job is nothing exciting, though I do get a lot of observations there since my employer sprays the perimeter with insecticide. I really don’t like it, but it’s a health department-mandated thing. I’m a wanna-be entomologist, but I’m past the point in my life where I want to spend a fortune on another degree. I’m learning as I go, which is what brought me to iNat last year.
Hobbies include anything with insects or nature, along with photography, particularly macro photography, black and white photography, and toy photography with a dark twist to it. I’ve been fortunate enough to have some of my work exhibited and sold in art galleries and be published in less well-known art publications. I’m finishing up making a rig to try my hand at extreme macro photography using microscope objectives. Once I have the rig finished, I’ll give it a shot! I have great intentions of finishing it as soon as possible, but I’ve been saying that for the past six months. Stupid ADHD.
I’m an expert at nothing related to iNat, so if you have any questions about nothing, please feel free to ask!
I’ll leave it at that for a start.
