I am a life-long learner and enjoy interacting with anyone who brings their excitement over a find, for the first time or the 1000th time, to this forum. I completed tropical field biology training and received a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Anthropology. I later become a physician working in global health, and applied my interest to infectious diseases and aberrant immunological responses to environmental stressors. At this time in my life, I have made the decision to retire from medicine but continue to study the evolving relationship between humans and the world we live in as a purveyor of antiquarian papers, such as maps and nature illustrations. I am passionate about the preservation of information, especially in a time of rapid change of our environment. I am always trying to expand my knowledge, and welcome tips and feedback.
